My name is Ben Wang.
Rome, the eternal city, amazed me when I stepped into the dilapidated but still grand pavilions of the Colosseum. “Veni Vidi Vici,” echoes through history, and had since made me wonder what caused such a mighty city to rise and fall. From historical documents and leftover remains, ancient Rome is seen by many as an old model civilization. The learning journey entices my interest in studying different cultures and societies in Humanities class.

Mr. Ben is my channel with educational videos for kids my age or younger than me. Mr. Ben (me in Roman costumes) and baby Caesar (the animated figure I created) are the narrators in the video. Latin and Ancient Rome is an important past that we shall not forget. My inspiration is for young readers to love learning history. Hopefully, a baby Caesar design would make the history of Ancient Rome less timid and more appealing to children. History is like a mirror, helping us understand more about the present and know what we should do in the future. Only when we look into the past of humankind, like constantly checking mirrors while driving a car, can we know what to do in the future.
